Public Participation

Members of the public are most welcome to attend and observe meetings of Council and its committees. For Full Council meetings and Committee meetings there is a public participation agenda item at the beginning of Council business. This is essentially an opportunity for residents to put questions to Council. Although no decisions may be taken at this time as, by law, Councillors must have notice of business, action will be taken. This will either be in the form of a future agenda item for discussion by Councillors or the Parish Clerk will follow up and report back. It is hoped that this short regular period each meeting will prove to be effective. Here is the agenda for the next Council or Committee meeting.

The Planning Department in Ilkley Town Hall

Please note that the Planning Department based at Ilkley Town Hall is a Bradford Metropolitan District Council office and is quite separate from Ilkley Parish Council.
